Tw4B: Sl 2 onto cn, hold to back of work, K2, P2 from cn.

Tw4F: Sl 2 onto cn, hold to front of work. P2, K2 from cn.

LEFT MITT

*Using 3.25mm DPNs and the long-tail cast-on method, cast on 56 (60:64) sts.

Pm and join to work in the round, taking care not to twist sts.

CUFF

Sizes S and L only

Round 1: *P2, K2; rep from * to end.

Size M only

Round 1: K1, *P2, K2; rep from * to last 3 sts, P2, K1.

All sizes

Rep round 1 until piece measures 8cm (or desired length) from cast-on edge.**

HAND

Commence working from Left Hand Chart:

Round 1: K8 (9:10), work row 1 from Chart, knit to end.

Round 2: K8 (9:10), work row 2 from Chart, knit to end.

Round 3: Pm, M1, pm, K8 (9:10), work from Chart as set, knit to end.

57 (61:65) sts.

Round 4: Slm, knit to next mrk, slm, K8 (9:10), work from Chart as set, knit to end.

Round 5: Slm, M1, knit to next mrk, M1, slm, K8 (9:10), work from Chart as set, knit to end.

59 (63:67) sts.

Continue working from Chart as set, increasing on alt rows as set by round 5 until there are 17 (17:19) sts between markers.

Next round: Remove mrk, slip next 17 (17:19) sts onto waste yarn (for thumb), K8 (9:10), work from Chart as set, knit to end.

56 (60:64) sts.

Continue working as set to end of Chart.

If you wish to extend the length of the hand, repeat round 42.

TOP CUFF

Sizes S and L only

Round 1: *P2, K2; rep from * to end.

Size M only

Round 1: K1, *P2, K2; rep from * to last 3 sts, P2, K1.

Rep round 1 four more times.

Cast off.

LEFT THUMB

Slip 17 (17:19) sts held on waste yarn back onto three DPNs.

Round 1: With RS facing, rejoin yarn and knit all sts. Next, pick up and knit 3 sts along opening to join the round.

20 (20:22) sts.

Knit 4 (5:6) more rounds.

LEFT THUMB RIBBING

Rounds 1 to 5: *K1, P1; rep from * to end of round.

Cast off loosely.

RIGHT MITT

Work as Left Mitt from * to **.

HAND

Commence working from Right Hand chart:

Round 1: K8 (9:10), work row 1 from Chart, knit to end.

Round 3: K8 (9:10), work from Chart as set, K8 (9:10), pm, M1, pm, knit to end.
