TENSION

19sts and 22 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over double crochet using a 4mm hook or size needed to achieve stated tension 

NOTES

The yoke is worked bottom up and the sleeves are crocheted, back and forth from the shoulder down. The skirt is crocheted from the base of the yoke, in one piece working in rows. Double crochet finishes the front edges and neck with integral button loop.

Row 1 (RS) Dc into 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn. [91 (101:111) sts]

Row 2 (WS) Ch1 (does not count as a st throughout), dc in first st and each st across, turn.

RIGHT FRONT SIDE

Row 1 (RS) Ch1, dc in first st and next 21 (23:26) sts, turn leaving remaining sts unworked. [22 (24:27) dc]

Row 2 (WS) Ch1, dc in first st and each st across, turn.

Working straight on these sts repeat Row 2 until Right Front measures 7 (9:11) cm from the beginning of the work, ending with a RS row.

Using a tapestry needle and the long tail, sew the shoulder seams together using whipstitch.

CROCHETED BORDER

Starting at the bottom right hem, join yarn and work evenly in dc along the right front edge to the neckline, work (dc, ch6, ss to dc just worked, 2dc) into corner to create buttonhole, dc evenly around the neckline to the opposite front edge, work 3dc into corner, dc evenly back down opposite front edge.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

TO MAKE UP

Block to measurements.

Using a tapestry needle, sew Sleeve seams. Sew button to front to correspond with button loop.
