Instructions are given for first size. Figures in parenthesis refer to larger sizes. When only one figure is given, it applies to all sizes.

Materials: 250 (300, 350) g of Lana Grossa Nizza (74% cotton, 25% polyester, 1% polyester (metallized); 115 m/50 g) in Beige/Grey/Silver (col 8) and 50 (75, 75) g of Lana Grossa Silkhair (70% superkid mohair, 30% silk; 210 m/25 g) in Beige (col 96).

Size 4, 4.5 and 5 mm needles; size 3.5 mm circular needle, 40 cm long.

Stockinette: K on RS, p on WS.

Reverse stockinette: P on RS, k on WS.

Lace pattern: Multiple of 12 + 15 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to chart. Numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows; on WS rows, purl all sts and yos. Repeat rows 1 - 10 throughout.

Gauges: On size 4.5 mm needles, 22 sts and 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm in lace pat with Nizza; 21 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette with Nizza; 21 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette with Silkhair.

Back: With size 5 mm needles and Nizza, cast on 98 (106, 118) sts. Change to size 4 mm needles. Beg with a WS row, work in stockinette for 6 rows.

Next WS row [picot turning ridge]: Selvage st, * p2tog, yo; rep from * to last st, selvage st. Work 5 rows more in stockinette. Change to size 4.5 mm needles and cont in stockinette until back measures 36 (37, 38) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape armholes: Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 1 st at beg of next 10 rows = 74 (82, 94) sts. Cont until back measures 56 (58, 60) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape neck:Bind off center 34 sts. Working each side separately, bind off 3 sts at each neck edge twice. Bind off remaining 14 (18, 24) sts for each shoulder.

Front: With size 4.5 mm needles and Nizza, cast on 101 (113, 125) sts.

Next WS row: Purl.

Next RS row: Selvage st, work row 1 of chart for lace pat, beg chart pat with 7 sts before first arrow, work the 12-st pat repeat between arrows 7 (8, 9) times, end with 8 sts after 2nd arrow, selvage st. Cont in lace pat as established until front measures 34 (35, 36) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape armholes: Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 6 rows, 1 st at beg of next 8 rows = 75 (87, 99) sts. Working a single decrease now instead of a double decrease at beg and end of rows, cont in lace pat until front measures 49 (51, 53) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape neck: Bind off center 25 sts. Working each side separately, bind off 4 sts at each neck edge once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st twice and when front measures 54 (56, 58) cm from cast- on, bind off remaining 14 (20, 26) sts for each shoulder.

Sleeves: With size 4 mm needles and Silkhair, cast on 50 sts. Beg with a WS row, work in reverse stockinette for 9 rows. Change to size 4.5 mm needles, work in stockinette and shape sleeve as foll: Inc 1 st at beg and end of 15th (11th, 9th) row, then every foll 12th row 6 times, then every foll 10th row once (then every alternating 8th and 10th row 8 times, then every foll 8th row twice / then every alternating 6th and 8th row 9 times, then every foll 8th row 3 times) = 66 (72, 76) sts. Cont until sleeve measures 45 (44, 43) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape sleeve cap: Bind off 3 (3, 4) sts at beg of next 2 rows, then 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 1 st at beg of next 28 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows (then 2 sts at beg of next 6 rows, 1 st at beg of next 26 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows / then 2 sts at beg of next 6 rows, 1 st at beg of next 24 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows). Bind off remaining 16 (18, 20) sts.

Finishing: Pin back and front to measurements and block. Sew shoulder seams. With size 3.5 mm circular needle and Silkhair, pick up and knit 120 sts around neck edge. Join for working in rnds. Knit 1 rnd, purl 5 rnds, then loosely bind off all sts purlwise. Fold bottom 6 rows of picot hem on back to WS and sew down. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
