Round 3 [Sl 1, k3, pass slipped stitch over the 3 stitches] to end.

Round 4 [Yo, k3] to end.

Row 1 (RS) Knit.

Row 2 (WS) Purl.

Row 3 K1, [sl 1, k3, pass slipped stitch over the 3 stitches] to last stitch, k1.

Row 4 P1, [p3, yo] to last stitch, p1.

Body

With 6.5mm/US10 1/2 needle, cast on 168 (184, 200, 216, 232, 248, 264). Place marker (pm) and join to work in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. Work in Mrs. Hunter's Pattern in Rounds until piece measures 4 1/2 (5, 5 1/2, 6, 6 1/2, 7, 7 1/2)". Change to 6mm/US10 needle. Continue as established until piece measures 9 1/2 (10, 10 1/2, 11, 11 1/2, 12, 12 1/2)", end with a WS row. Change to 5.5mm/US9 needle. Continue as established until piece measures approximately 14 1/2 (15, 15 1/2, 16, 16 1/2, 17, 17 1/2)", end with Round 4 of pattern.

Divide for front and back

Begin working back and forth in rows

With RS facing, working yarn, and using cable cast-on, cast on 9 (9, 9, 9, 9, 13, 13) onto left needle (with front stitches).

Next row (RS) Work in Mrs. Hunter's Pattern in Rows across 93 (101, 109, 117, 125, 137, 145) stitches. Place remaining 84 (92, 100, 108, 116, 124, 132) stitches on hold for back. With WS facing, working yarn, and using cable cast-on, cast on 9 (9, 9, 9, 9, 13, 13) onto left needle.

Next row (WS) Work in Mrs. Hunter's Pattern across 102 (110, 118, 126, 134, 150, 158) stitches. Work even until armhole measures 1 (1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, 4)", end with a WS row.

Shape front neck

Work in pattern across 49 (53, 57, 61, 65, 73, 77) stitches, k2tog. Join a second ball of yarn, SSK, work to end — 50 (54, 58, 62, 66, 74, 78) stitches each side of neck opening. Working both sides at the same time with separate balls of yarn, work even until armhole measures 7 (7, 7 1/2, 8 1/2, 9, 9, 10 1/2)", end with Row 2 of pattern. Bind off.

Back

Return held back stitches to needle, ready to work a RS row. With working yarn and using cable cast-on, cast on 9 (9, 9, 9, 9, 13, 13) onto left needle. Work in Mrs. Hunter's Pattern in Rows across 93 (101, 109, 117, 125, 137, 145) stitches. With WS facing, working yarn, and using cable cast-on, cast on 9 (9, 9, 9, 9, 13, 13) onto left needle.

Next row (WS) Work across all 102 (110, 118, 126, 134, 150, 158) stitches. Work even until armhole measures 7 (7, 7 1/2, 8 1/2, 9, 9, 10 1/2)", end with Row 2 of pattern. Bind off.

Finishing

Block. Place markers 7 1/2 (8, 8 1/2, 9, 9 1/2, 10 1/2, 11)" from each side of bound-off edge on front and back. Sew sleeve/shoulder seams from outer edge of each sleeve to markers. Sew underarm seams.
