Row 2 Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), 2dc in each dc, turn. [6 sts]
Row 3 Ch1, (1dc, 2dc in next st) 3 times, turn. [9 sts]

Row 7 Ch1, (5dc, 2dc in next st) 3 times, turn. [21 sts]
Continue in this fashion, increasing by 3 sts evenly each row, until the Pocket piece measures 12cm wide. Make a note of how many rows you've worked so that you can work the same number of rows on the second piece. Rotate to work along the top straight edge.
Next row Ch1, dc evenly across the straight edge, turn.
Repeat the previous row until the whole piece measures 8cm deep.
Fasten off the Amber yarn, do not fasten off the piece in Cream.
JOINING THE POCKET
Align the two Pocket pieces together with the Cream piece on top, and the working tail of Cream yarn in the top-left corner. Using the Cream yarn, ch1, 1dc into each row end and 1dc into each dc of the last curved row worked, through both pieces to seam them together, ending with 1dc into each row end on the other side. Fasten off.
HEAD (MAKE 1)

Row 7 Ch1, 2dc in first st, 9dc, 2dc in each of next 2 sts, 9dc, 2dc in last st, turn. [26 sts]
Continue in this fashion, working 2dc in the first and last sts of the row and 2dc in each of the two central sts of each row, until the Head is the same width as the finished Purse Pocket. You may find it helpful to mark the central two sts with st markers.
Next row Ss to 2nd st of row, ch1, dc in next st and each st until 2 central sts, 2dc in each of the two central sts, dc in each st until the last 2 sts, ss in next st, turn, leaving last st unworked.
Repeat prev row until Head is same depth as finished Purse Pocket. Do not turn after the final row. Working along the top of the Head, dc evenly into the row ends until you reach the opposite corner. Do not fasten off.
JOIN HEAD TO PURSE POCKET
Place the Purse Pocket with the Cream facing up, align the Head on top with the straight edges together and the working yarn at the top-right corner. Working through the Head and the back Amber piece of the Purse Pocket only, using the working yarn, ch1 and work a dc seam evenly along the straight edge to join the Head to the back panel of the purse.
EARS (MAKE 2)
Using Amber, follow the instructions for the Head until work measures 6cm at widest point, noting how many rows are worked to repeat for 2nd piece. Fold the triangle in half and dc the two sides together along the long edge. Fasten off and weave in ends. Sew ears to sides of head, using photo as a guide.
TO FINISH
With Brown yarn, sew button to tip of nose and surface crochet on two eyes using the photo as a guide. Sew the zip along top opening edges of Purse Pocket. Sew the press stud underneath the flap at the nose tip.
