TO MAKE UP

Fold the hood in half with RS tog, matching up the decrease section.

Using the long tail, sew tog two sides up the back of the hood and across decrease section. Weave in ends.

Turn hood RS out and fold back a 2cm (3/4in) section of the front edge to form a double edge and sew into position.

INTEGRATED SCARF

Join yarn at front edge of base of hood. Picking up sts from the ends of rows, work 73dc evenly around the entire base of the hood (from one front corner to the other), ch88 and taking care not to twist ch, ss to first dc at the other front corner of base of hood. [161 sts]

Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as st), 1dc into same st (add marker), *ch1, skip next st, 1dc into next st; rep from * to marked st, do not turn. [161 sts]

Round 2 (RS) Ch1 (move marker up to this ch), *1dc in next ch-1 sp, ch1, skip next st; rep from * to marked st, do not turn. [161 sts]

Round 3 (RS) 1dc in marked ch-1 sp (add marker), *ch1, skip next st, 1dc into ch-1 sp, ch1, skip next st; rep from * to marked st, do not turn. [161 sts]

Rounds 4-27 (RS) Rep Rnds 2-3 moving marker up each rnd. Fasten off.

EARS (MAKE 2)

Ears are worked using the amigurumi method of working in a spiral without closing off each rnd with a ss.

Round 1 Ch2, 6dc into 2nd chain from hook. [6 sts]

Round 2 2dc into each dc. [12 sts]

Round 3 *1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc; rep from * around. [18 sts]

Round 5 *1dc in next 3 dc, 2dc in next dc; rep from * around. [30 sts]

Round 6 *1dc in next 4 dc, 2dc in next dc; rep from * around. [36 sts]

Rounds 7-11 1dc into each dc rnd. [36 sts] Fasten off.
