YOU WILL NEED
Artesano Merino Superwash DK (100% merino wool; 100m per 50g):
1 x50g ball of Teal (A)
1 x50g ball of Dark Teal (B)
4mm (UK 8, US 6) knitting needles
MEASUREMENTS To fit a baby aged 0-6 months
TENSION 20 sts and 27 rows to 10cm (4in) over st-st, using 4mm (UK 8, US 6) needles
C3B - place 3 sts on cable needle (cn) and hold at back of work, k3, k3 from cn
C3F - place 3 sts on cn and hold at front of work, k3, k3 from cn

You will see the abbreviations C3B and C3F in the pattern. C3F means cable three stitches to the front leaving three cable stitches hanging at the front of your work. C3B is where you cable three stitches to the back, leaving the cable needle dangling in the back of your work. For more detail see abbreviations.
Using yarn B, cast on 84 sts.
Row 1: K1 (p2, k2) x 20, p2, k1.
Row 2: P1 (k2, p2) x 20, k2, p1.
Rows 3-8: Rep rows 1-2.
Change to yarn A.
Row 9: K.
Row 10: P.
Row 11: K36, C3B, C3F, k36.
Row 12: P.
Row 13: K.
Row 14: P.
Rows 15-38: Rep rows 9-14.
Row 39: K. Cast off knitwise.
With WS facing, sew the sides together with a large-eyed needle. Then line up top of seam with centre of cable (so you have a central back seam) and sew across the top. Make two pompoms in yarn B and sew on each corner.
