TENSION

Yarn used knits as DK to this tension: 22 sts and 28 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using 4mm needles

NOTES

This loose-fitting swing hem top in stocking stitch has a fairly simple lace stitch pattern at the side panels and sleeves. It features saddle shoulders, a deep neckline back and front and pockets in the side panels. It's designed to be somewhat oversized, so check the actual measurements in case you would prefer a more snug fit.

TO MAKE UP

Gently steam all pieces.

On WS, oversew edges of pocket linings to WS of Side Panels, matching sides to Garter Stitch edge of Lace Panels and bottom edge to last Garter Stitch row of panel.

Sew side panels to Back and Front matching markers on Back and Front to cast-off edge of Side Panels.

Sew sleeve seam from cast-on edge to marker. With RS together, attach sleeve to Side Panel, matching markers at top of sleeve seam with marker at centre of cast-off edge of Side panel. Match remaining edges of sleeve (up to beginning of sleeve cast off) to the cast-off edge of Side Panel (the cast-off edge of sleeve should meet Back and Front sections). Sew in place.

Sew one cast-off edge of each sleeve to side edge of Back and the other to side edge of Front, finishing at saddle shoulder. Sew cast-off edge of Back to one side of saddle shoulder and cast-off edge of Front to other side of saddle shoulder ending at neck edge.

NECK EDGING
