NEEDLES AND TOOLS

1 pair 3.75mm and 5.00mm knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension.

Wool needle for sewing seams.

MEASUREMENTS

Size: XS, S, M, L, XL

To fit bust: 70, 80, 90, 100, 110cm

Finished fit: 95, 105, 115, 125, 135cm

Garment length: 59, 60, 61, 62, 63cm

Sleeve length: 25cm

TENSION

19 sts by 25 rows over stocking st, on 5,00mm needles to 10cm.

GETTING STARTED

Note: This jumper is worked on larger needles and at a looser tension than usually recommended for this yarn.

WORKING PATTERN

BACK AND FRONT (ALIKE)

Using 3.75mm needles and C1, cast on 92 (102, 112, 120, 130) sts. 

Row 1: Knit.

Row 2: Purl.

Last 2 rows form stocking st.

Rep last 2 rows once.

Purl 2 rows.

Change to 5.00mm needles. Working in stocking st for rem, beg with a knit row, work 6 rows.

Beg Stripe Patt

Using C2, work 18 rows.

Using C3, work 2 rows.

Using C1, work 18 rows.

Using C4, work 8 rows.

Using C3, work 12 rows.

Using C5, work 12 rows.

** Using C1, work 12 rows.

Using C3, work 12 rows.

Using C4, work 8 rows.

Using C1, work 2 rows.

Using C2, work 12 rows. **

Using C5, work 12 rows.

Using C4 for rem, work 8 (10, 12, 16, 18) rows.

Cast off loosely.

SLEEVES

Using 3.75mm needles and C5, cast on 68 (72, 76, 80, 84) sts.

Work 4 rows stocking st, beg with a knit row.

Purl 2 rows.

Change to 5.00mm needles.

Working in stocking st for rem, beg with a knit row, work 6 rows.

Beg Stripe Patt and Sleeve Shaping

Working in stripes as for Back and Front from ** to **, at same time inc one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 16th (16th, 10th, 8th, 6th) row until there are 74 (78, 86, 92, 98) sts.

Change to C5 for rem.

Work 4 rows.

Cast off 10 (11, 12, 13, 14) sts at beg of next 6 rows.

Cast off rem 14 (12, 14, 14, 14) sts.

MAKING UP

Note: We recommend using mattress stitch to sew up your jumper.

Do not press. Join shoulder seams, leaving centre 29cm open for neck. On side edges of Back and Front measure down 18 (19, 21, 22, 24) cm from shoulder seams and place markers.

Placing centre of sleeve to shoulder seam, sew in sleeves evenly between markers. Join side and sleeve seams, matching stripes. Sew in ends.
