• Beanie 1 ball 50gm Mohair 12ply in shade #512

• Scarf 2 balls 50gm Mohair 12ply in shade #503

• 5mm knitting needles • 5.5mm knitting needles

MEASUREMENTS

To fit: Adult Head Small, Medium, Large

Scarf without fringe: 150cm x 13cm

skp - slip 1 stitch, knit 1 stitch, pass slipped st over;

TENSION

16 sts by 22 rows over Stst on 5.5 mm needles to 10cm.

WORKING PATTERN

BEANIE

With 5mm needles, cast on 76 (80, 84) sts.

K2, p2 rib for 5cm, end with a WS row.

Change to 5.5mm needles.

Stst until hat measures 13 (13, 14) cm from beg, end with a WS row.

Shape Top

Next Row: RS - K1, k2tog, k1 3 (14, 15), [skp, k2, k2tog, k1 3 (14, 15)] 3 times, skp, k1. 68 (72, 76) sts.

P 1 row.

Next Row: K1, k2tog, k11 (1 2, 1 3), (skp, k2, k2tog, k11 (12, 13)) 3 times, skp, k1. 60 (64, 68) sts.

P 1 row.

Next Row: K1, k2tog, k9 (10, 11), (skp, k2, k2tog, k9 (10, 11)) 3 times, skp, k1. 52 (56, 60) sts.

P 1 row.

Cont in this manner with 2 sts less between dec’s every dec row until 20 (16, 20) sts rem.

P 1 row.

Next Row: K2tog across row. 10 (8, 10) sts.

Break yarn, leaving longer end, thread through rem sts and pull together, secure end.

MAKING UP

Join back seam.

SCARF

With 5.5mm needles, cast on 22 sts.

K2, p2 rib for 1 50cm, or length required.

Cut 30cm long ends (30 ends required in total) and attach 5 bundles made of 3 ends along both ends of scarf for fringe.
