Row 2: Purl, working yos from previous row tbl.
Rows 1 and 2 set increase pattern. Cont as set, increasing on every alt row, a total of 6 times. 34[35:37:38:39:41:41] sts.
Work straight in st st until piece meas 13[13:14:16:18:20:21]cm (5[5:5 1/2:6 1/4:7:8:8 1/4]in), ending with a RS row.
Next row (WS): K8[8:8:10:10:10:10], p18[19:21:18:19:21:21], k8[8:8:10:10:10:10].
Next row: Knit.
These two rows set st st centre with g st sides. Cont as set until piece meas 31[33:36:40:44:49:51]cm (12 1/4(13:14 1/4:15 3/4:17 1/4:19 1/4:20]in).
Sew tail through cast-on sts and tighten to form toe, then sew sides to middle of top of foot, stopping where g st starts for Slipper opening. Fold Slipper double and sew cast-off stitches together to form heel, using mattress stitch or another stitch that avoids a chunky seam.
Wash the slippers using a non-biological washing powder without optical brighteners at 40°C with normal spin and no pre-wash. Try on Slipper and shape to correct size while wet. Subsequent washes should be done on a wool setting.
